The evidence-based 2021 Australian guideline on offloading treatment for foot ulcers has been developed and designed for all health professionals and disciplines caring for Australians with DFD and DFU in secondary and tertiary health care setting in Australia. The guidelines are a general guide to appropriate practice, to be followed subject to the clinician’s judgement and the patient’s preference in each individual case and have been designed to provide information to assist decision-making and are based on the best evidence available at the time of development.
