The evidence-based 2021 Australian guideline on management of diabetes-related foot infection is designed for all health professionals and disciplines caring for Australians with diabetes-related foot disease and infection in secondary and tertiary health care settings in Australia. The guidelines are a general guide to appropriate practice, to be followed subject to the clinician’s judgment and the patient’s preference in each individual case and have been designed to provide information to assist decision-making and are based on the best evidence available at the time of development.
